Following the success of the Wingman series from last year, the ladies get their chance at front side success with the Wildcat models. Built with the same general shape as the Wingman 86 skis, the Wildcat features an 86 mm waist and a carving-specific build. This one has a more forgiving flex than the Ti or CTi models, and as a result, is easier to manage and rip through carved turns. At 86 mm, the waist is getting up to the all-mountain category but the shape and overall performance generally lean to the front side and carving realms. Built with Elan's TrueLine technology, the skis have more material over the inside edges and less over the outside. By placing the bulk of the mass over the insides of the skis, Elan has created greater edge grip without compromising the weight or heft of the ski. With the outside portions of the ski lighter and more flexible, the skis transition between turns very easily and smoothly. This gives the skier a ton of control and confidence when diving and driving into those carves. The wood core has Elan's signature carbon rods that keep the ski on the straight and narrow all while keeping the overall weight to a minimum.
