Yakima 8002703 BackRoad 2 Bike Trailer Hitch Mounted Bicycle Rack is compatible with both 1.25" and 2" receiver hitches. The BackRoad comes assembled for a 2" trailer hitch. To adapt the BackRoad to an 1.25" hitch simply remove the 2" block adapter with the included Allen Wrench. Yakima has designed the BackRoad with features that will simplify your family outings. BackRoad 8002703 has 7" of spacing between bikes making the loading and unloading of your bikes much easier. Because bigger and wider bike frames are on the rise, Yakima has increased the width of the padded anti-sway cradles for a superior fit on just about any bike. In addition, the cradles will rotate to a position that will fit your bike frame like a glove. Longer ZipStrips will accommodate a greater variety of bike frame sizes. With the simple pull of a lever, the carrying arms will tilt down when not in use. By pulling a fastening pin, the upright portion of the rack tilts away from your vehicle allowing for easy rear-of-vehicle access. The Yakima BackRoad 8002703 includes an integrated LockDown Security Cable to lock your bikes to the rack. Yakima's signature bottle opener is located in the end of a bike arm.
