Edge grip and ease of maneuverability are two attributes of an all-mountain ski that are both desired by many, but are often not necessarily found in the same package. The Reliance 88 C from Armada provides both of these things in a versatile and lightweight all mountain chassis. A Caruba wood core keeps this ski nice and light, while carbon stringers woven into the mix provide stability, power and responsiveness without adding weight. As a whole, this core construction gives the ski a very agile feel and keeps it stout for carving on groomed or firm snow. A generous side cut and slight early rise in the tip make turn initiation very easy and makes the ski feel inviting into a turn without feeling too hooky. A light core and a very subtle amount of tail rocker allow the ski to release out of a turn when you want to make a more smeary turn either in steep or tight terrain. The Reliance 88 C is a phenomenal bump ski option due to its weight and its more uniform and forgiving flex. Overall, The Reliance 88 C is a great option for skiers looking for a light all mountain ski that provides versatility, but also provides edge grip when needed.
